If you're Swedish, you're probably not too popular in Italy right now.

Italians remain in mourning after Sweden knocked their beloved national team out of the World Cup on Monday, meaning the Azzurri failed to make the tournament proper for the first time since 1958.

And now Swedish furniture giant Ikea have risked incurring the wrath of the southern European nation with a cheeky tweet poking fun at their football heartache.

The tweet, in Italian, carries a picture of one of the manufacturer's garden benches, along with a caption which reads: "So that you'll forgive us, we will give Gian Piero a new one."

The message is a clear reference to Gian Piero Ventura, Italy's former coach who has been sacked after the World Cup defeat.

We're all laughing but, if it was England in this situation, we might find Ikea's tweet rather less funny.
