"We were at the centre of the greatest crime in human history, and we haven't paid a penny to those who suffered as a result of that," George Galloway told his talkRADIO audience on Friday, commenting on slavery.

"We sold human beings as beasts of burden. The bestial horrors of the slave trade are virtually forgotten."

He also commented on the Labour coup in his monologue to open the show.
