Brexit Cabinet meeting descended into 'an awkward game of Cluedo'

'An awkward game of Cluedo' - Jon Holmes finds out more about the Cabinet meeting at Chequers

Theresa May is holding a Cabinet meeting at Chequers

Wednesday, August 31, 2016

It can be slightly tricky to infiltrate government and find out what's being said during top-level discussions.

But not if you have a newshound like Cornelius on your team.

As we've reported extensively, Theresa May invited her Cabinet to Chequers for a meeting about Brexit Wednesday. So Jon Holmes sent his supersleuth Cornelius, the ace in the talkRADIO pack, to find out more about it.

Cornelius revealed they're discussing dismantling the NHS as well as doing trust exercises. They also played pass the parcel, leapfrog and croquet. Typical.

When Cornelius explained there had been backstabbing, Jon thought it had descended into a strange game of Cluedo. A politically based murder mystery, set in a country house? We're hooked already.
