Women think they're having a better time than men, but they aren't being realistic, Mike Graham has claimed.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has found on average woman had higher levels of life satisfaction than men between September 2016 and 2017. However it also discovered they had higher levels of anxiety.

Mike claimed "they think they're having a much better time than we are but actually they're not being realistic.

"Typical woman that. She’s completely confused so she thinks she's happy but actually she's nervous about being happy" and "if they say they’re happy they’re probably not telling the truth."

However Katie Perrior slammed his comments as "rubbish."

Senior statistician from the ONS Glenn Everett explained the research was conducted by asking "people both male and female in households on a sale of 0 to 10 to rate their life satisfaction, how worthwhile their life is and whether they were happy yesterday or anxious yesterday.

"We're going to do some further research to understand what their employment status is for example their state of health and what sort of relationships they’re in."
